Complete our short writing ritual survey -- inspire others and get a little publicity

Writers, like most professionals, are creatures of habits. Some habits become elevated to the status of  rituals. If you are unsure about the distinction between a habit and a ritual, I recommend Nick Usborne’s guide on the topic. It's titled Writing Rituals. It is a quick read, and you’d find the suggestions readily applicable.

Put simply, a ritual is something that has become a fixture in one’s life, primarily because it has value. A ritual serves a purpose. Successful people, including commercial writers, often attribute their success to certain rituals.

I thought it would be a good idea to gather some of that collective wisdom in a book to share with writers at various points in their career. Rather than depicting the theory of writing, the book would represent the practice of writing viewed from many angles.

You can be a part of this venture!

What's in it for you?

Our target is to get 100 writers to respond. We will compile the submissions and publish it as an e-book. Each contributor will receive a copy. They may also post a link to the e-book on their website – if they so choose.

We invite contributors to include their names and primary web addresses, which will let others know about their businesses. The release of the survey will be well publicized through the social media.

Hopefully, many of you will see the value in inspiring other professional writers by telling us in 500 characters or less about your favorite writing ritual.

Go ahead -- do some good. Inspire Others.  Complete the survey now!

Unless you request it, your email will not be included in the published e-book. However, we ask for it in the survey in case we need to clarify any issue relating to your submission. We will never share, trade, or disclose your email address for any other purpose.
